Devotion- Put Something Good Out There
Reading: Acts 11:19-26

Each morning when I prepare my cup of coffee I grab a Truvia packet to put in it. If you use this sweetener product you know that the little packets have sayings on them. Today's was "Put something good out there". What a great challenge for us as Christians during this time of social distancing! But if one person "puts something good out there" it's contagious! Others will do it too! We see this on the news! As an example, those who are cheering on our health care providers has gone contagious.

The Scripture reading from Acts 11 describes putting something really, really good out there when it comes to discipleship. There had been persecution and Christians had scattered as a result. But something great came out of it! Some went to Antioch and Greece to spread the good news and many believed and turned to God. But it gets even better; the news spread and people were encouraged and in the end for a whole year great numbers of people were taught about Jesus...and this is when disciples were first called Christians!

Today let's put something good out there...put the good news of Jesus out for all to hear about how much he loves us and wants to be in relationship with us. Good news doesn't get any better than that!! I know we are all quarantined but use your creativity to share the good news of Jesus with other people. Do it because you love Jesus and you love others. It's contagious!!!!
